April 30 marked commitment date for five-star tight end Jaxon Dollar. According to the 247Sports composite rankings he is the No. 2 tight end in the country, so any school would clearly be lucky to win his recruitment.
Georgia has found a lot of success recruiting tight ends over the past few years, and they were hoping to keep that going with Dollar. Thankfully that is exactly what happened as he chose to commit to Georgia over Notre Dame, Miami, Texas and Clemson.

5-star Jaxon Dollar commits to Georgia over Notre Dame, Miami and others
This recruitment wasn't always going Georgia's way. In fact, Notre Dame was the favorite to land Dollar since last October when 247Sports officially predicted the Irish to win his recruitment.
That didn't stop Kirby Smart though as he put his head down and got Georgia back into this recruitment. His biggest move however occurred just two weeks ago when he got Dollar to visit during G-Day, and it was that visit that changed everything.
Soon after visiting Georgia he announced that he would likely commit in the coming weeks. Then he set April 30 as his commitment date and named the five finalists that he decided between. So far Dollar held true to his word, and the last thing Georgia was waiting to see was if he would pick UGA. Thankfully Rivals came in soon after with a prediction of their own in favor of Georgia.
Dollar now joins a long lineup of elite Georgia tight ends. Everyone knows and remembers Brock Bowers as the player who put Bulldog tight ends on the map, but Georgia's success didn't stop with him.
Georgia just had another tight end (Oscar Delp) get drafted in the 2026 NFL Draft. They also signed three of the top 10 tight ends in the 2025 recruiting class as welll, so adding Dollar to that group will be an unstoppble force.
It's a great time to be a Georgia fan as Dollar marks the third five-star commit for the dawgs in the 2027 class. And considering he is only their eighth commit that is pretty remarkable.
