Kirby Smart has been making one final push in five-star tight end Jaxon Dollar’s recruitment. He is the No. 2 tight end in the country who has been predicted to commit to Notre Dame since last October, but one prediction will never scare Georgia away.
Dollar shared earlier this week that he will announce his commitment on April 30. That meant it was do or die time for Smart as he looked to add yet another five-star recruit to Georgia’s 2027 class.
Thankfully it looks like Smart is well on his way of landing Dollar as that prediction was just changed in favor of Georgia.

Final update to 5-star Jaxon Dollar’s recruitment sends Georgia into poll position days before he commits
Two weeks ago Dollar was one of Georgia’s biggest visitors during G-Day. That visit seemingly went as well as it could because he immediately shared that he was going to commit within a few weeks.
That brings everyone to this week when he announced at the start of the week that he would commit on April 30. Also included in that announcement were his five finalists which consisted of Georgia, Notre Dame, Clemson, Texas and Miami.
Notre Dame was still viewed as the leader because of that prediction, but that all changed on Tuesday with the new prediction in favor of Georgia from Rivals’ Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong.
Smart obviously needs to hold onto this lead for two more days, especially with the other schools involved. Programs like Miami and Texas have been known to come in with massive NIL offers in the final hour to try and steal recruits away, so until Dollar actually commits this recruitment is not over.
But after much speculation it is clear that Georgia is the team to beat and the favorite to land Dollar when he commits on April 30.
