A lot of important recruiting updates occurred surrounding Georgia football on Monday. On top of that, one of the top Bulldogs on offense made the watch list for one of the best awards college football has to offer.
But let’s first begin with a tantalizing update about a new running back Georgia is targeting.
Georgia is prioritizing a new 5-star RB
Kirby Smart and his staff have begun to put a larger emphasis on recruiting the 2027 class recently. And one of their targets that is reportedly quickly becoming a big priority for UGA is five-star running back David Gabriel-Georges.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Gabriel-Georges is the No. 3 running back in the country. This new report also indicated that Oregon, Tennessee, Ohio State and Syracuse are also standing out to him as well, so this is a recruitment Georgia fans will want to watch closely over the next year.
Nate Frazier named to preseason watch list
Running back Nate Frazier projects to be one of the top players on Georgia’s offense this season. But the hype surrounding Frazier reached an all time high on Monday when he was named to the watch list for the Maxwell Award.
This award goes out to the best player in all of college football at the end of every season. So it’s clear that the expectations are so high for Frazier that some believe he could be the nation’s best player this season.
Georgia predicted to lose 4-star OL
Four-star offensive lineman Breck Kolojay announced on Monday that he will be committing on Aug. 1. On this day Kolojay will decide between Georgia, USC, Miami (FL), Colorado and Oklahoma. Unfortunately for Georgia, a new prediction was logged Monday night in favor of USC to win this recruitment.

Georgia theoretically still has time to come back and win this recruitment, but this is one that is looking like a loss for the Bulldogs. This loss would be devastating for Georgia because they need more help on their offensive line in the 2026 class, so Smart and his staff will have to move fast to find a new target if they do fall short.
