Georgia football received a few major developments on the recruiting trail on Thursday. The biggest news came in the form of a concerning report surrounding their most important commit, but they also received official predictions to land two recruits as well.
But it’s impossible to not begin with the multiple reports about an SEC rival attempting to flip a five-star from UGA.
Jared Curtis is taking a close look at Vanderbilt
Five-star quarterback Jared Curtis is the top commit in Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class. He committed to UGA back in May, and ever since he hasn’t been linked with any other program whatsoever.
That however changed on Thursday when reports surfaced about Curtis visiting Vanderbilt on Wednesday while also having a weekend visit scheduled as well.
New reports came out later that Georgia shouldn’t be worried about losing his commitment, but it still doesn’t feel like his commitment is 100 percent set in stone like it used to be.
Miami fans are turning on Carson Beck
Miami announced that they will be wearing camouflage uniforms during their matchup against Stanford this weekend. That may seem like a pretty typical announcement, but one Miami fan used this announcement as a way to voice his displeasure with Carson Beck.
"I just hope Beck can locate our receivers. He had a hard enough time last game when our receivers weren't wearing camo."
Georgia fans are all too familiar with poor performances from Beck, and Miami fans got their first taste of it last week when he threw four interceptions in their loss to Louisville. And apparently that was all it took for Beck to start losing his new fanbase.
Georgia predicted to land two new commits
Georgia found out on Thursday that they could be adding two new commits to their 2027 class soon. Those recruits are three-star running back Jakeyveon Parker and four-star offensive tackle Joshua Sam-Epelle.
Rivals insiders logged both of these predictions on Thursday and even went as far as to say that Parker could commit soon. Official commitment dates aren’t known for either player though, but it’s clear that UGA should expect some good news from them eventually.
