It is always a good day whenever Georgia beats Florida, and it doesn’t matter what sport it is. But what Georgia’s baseball team accomplished on Saturday, March 22 is a massive cause for celebration.

But before getting to that, another negative headline hit Georgia’s football program on Saturday as well that is worth mentioning.

Another football arrest

A headline occurring far too often in the Georgia football program is a player being arrested or involved in an automobile incident. That stereotype that has been following Georgia for a few years now isn't going anywhere as the Bulldogs had two players arrested this week for unrelated driving incidents.

Offensive lineman Marques Easley was reportedly arrested Friday morning after an incident earlier this week when he crashed a car into an apartment complex. Specific information about the crash has not been released, but Easley was charged on three counts of reckless conduct, a misdemeanor, and one count of reckless driving. He has been released on a $1,000 bond, but this just adds to the growing sentiment that there is a serious problem in the football program.

Baseball clinches series win against Florida

Georgia baseball and Florida had a great game Friday night that saw the Bulldogs win by one after a home run in the top ninth inning. Friday's game had everything any baseball fan wants to see when two rivals go head to head, but that sentiment was not shared on Saturday.

The Bulldogs jumped on Florida early, and behind elite piching they never looked back en route to their 17-2 win. This clinches the Bulldogs first series win in Gainesville since 2006, and Georgia will go for the sweep Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm EST.

5-star loves Kirby Smart

Georgia had a lot of elite visitors on campus this weekend, and one of the most impressive recruits is five-star ATH Brandon Arrington.

Arrington is the No. 1 ATH in the country, so it’s clear how important of a recruitment this is. And it looks like this visit went very well according to his social media post from Friday.

The opportunity to play for Kirby Smart is one of the biggest draws to Georgia, and it appears Smart is a big reason why Arrington is seriously considering the Bulldogs.
