Kirby Smart and Georgia are still hitting the recruiting trail very hard right now as recruiting is taking center stage in the college football world until fall camp begins. The Bulldogs have some work to do to get their recruiting class back inside the top 10 in the country, but a few developments on the trail point to them trending that way.

The past few days haven't been all good news for Georgia though as Gunner Stockton let the fanbase down when it comes to the new College Football 27 video game EA Sports is releasing next month.

Gunner Stockton won't be in EA Sports' new video game

EA Sports is releasing the latest video game in their College Football series in July. A few days ago they released stats and information about each player that is going to be in the game, and that is when Georgia fans learned that Stockton isn't in the game.

Each player has to opt in with EA Sports in order to be included in the game. If they don't opt in on time then they simply won't be in the game, and that is what happened with Stockton.

Who knows why he chose to not be in the game, or maybe he just forgot about the deadline, either way this is a huge blunder that will upset every Georgia fan that wanted to play with him in this game.

Georgia commit Kennedee Jackson slammed the door in Florida's face

A few weeks ago Geogia flipped four-star offensive tackle Kennedee Jackson from Florida. This decision came just 11 days after he originally committed to Florida, so this was a commitment that Georgia fans rightfully celebrated like crazy.

Everyone knows that no recruitment is ever over in today's day and age. Players flip their commitments all the time, so even though Jackson ditched Florida and committed to Georgia his recruitment didn't feel like it was done.

That however changed this week as Jackson announced that he was shutting his recruitment down. This means that Florida and every other school in the country don't have a chance with him anymore and that he will stick with Georgia no matter what.

Former Tennessee commit Kadin Fife could be trending to Georgia

Last week four-star defensive lineman Kadin Fife decommitted from Tennessee. This was a huge development for Georgia because they were the last school he visited before he made this decision.

That could just be a coincidence or it could mean that his visit to Athens went so well that Georgia is the reason why he ditched the Vols. It's impossible to know what will happen until he announces where he wants to commit to next, but current Georgia quarterback commit Colton Nussmeier hinted that Georgia could be getting some good news soon.

Nussmeier visited Georgia alongside Fife two weeks ago, so there is a chance he knows something that other don't. This message from Nussmeier doesn't guarantee anything, but it's yet another sign that Georgia feels like the favorite to win Fife's recruitment now.
