Two weeks ago Georgia hosted four-star defensive lineman Kadin Fife on an official visit. This may just seem like a normal visit at first, but this visit was anything but normal as Fife was committed to Tennessee at the time.
A few days ago Fife decommitted from Tennessee which seemed like a great sign for Georgia in his recruitment. Georgia was the last school he visited before he decommitted from the Vols, so it seemed likely that Georgia played a major role in that decision.
Current Georgia quarterback commit Colton Nussmeier's reaction to his decommitment though is yet another sign about where UGA might stand with Fife right now.

What would flipping Kadin Fife from Tennessee mean for Georgia?
Nussmeier looks confident that Georgia is going to flip Fife. Maybe he knows something that us fans do not or maybe he is just being hopeful, but they both visited Georgia during the same weekend in June so there is a chance he knows that Fife is going to flip to UGA.
If that were to occur then Georgia's recruiting class would be in a much better spot. The Bulldogs still aren't where they want to be right now, but they have been slowly climbing up the recruiting rankings and are closing in on the top 10 once again. A commitment from Fife would really help them get back into the top 10.
On top of that, it is never a bad thing to continue to dominate their rivals in the SEC. Sure Tennessee isn't a traditional rival like Florida, but flipping Fife from the Vols would feel just as good as when Georgia flipped Kennedee Jackson from the Gators.
Fife hasn't shared when he plans to announce a new commitment, but it feels like that decision could come at any point in the near future. And if it does Georgia has to feel very good about where they stand.
Colton Nussmeier's important role for Georgia's recruiting class can't go unnoticed
Nussmeier is palying a huge role in Georgia's recruiting class right now. Not only is he an elite player who helped improve Georgia's recruiting ranking when he committed, but he can help it improve even more by convincing other players to commit to UGA as well.
Quarterbacks tend to be the leaders in most recruiting classes across the country. If they put their mind to it they can convince other players to come play with them at their school, and if they are a really good player like Nussmeier they can usually find a lot of success.
Nussmeier would deserve a lot of credit if Fife does flip to Georgia. They more than likely interacted during their official visits to Georgia on June 12, and during those interactions it wouldn't be surprising if Nussmeier was pitching Georgia to Fife.
At the end of the day Fife will make his own decision just like every other recruit, but Nussmeier is in a position where he can impact a lot of these decisions in Georgia's favor.
