Gunner Stockton is starting to hit his stride during fall camp with one of Georgia's top receivers. Aaron Murray also went public with a lot of support for Georgia's offensive coordinator Mike Bobo while the LA Rams may have new plans in mind for Stetson Bennett for their final preseason game.

There's a lot to discuss involving Georgia football, but the most exciting thing by far is Stockton surging in practice at the perfect time.

Gunner Stockton is clicking with Georgia wide receive Talyn Taylor

Gunner Stockton and the Georgia wide receivers had some issues connecting deep down the field last season. All offseason Kirby Smart has said how he wants the offense to be more explosive this season, and in order for that to happen Stockton has to improve with his accuracy and he has to develop a strong connection with one of Georgia's receivers.

Thankfully reports at fall camp this week indicate he and sophomore receiver Talyn Taylor are beginning to hit their stride.

Fans will want to see these two click on the field during the regular season before getting too excited, but it sounds like they are playing well together in practice and that they could be the threat Georgia's passing attack desperately needs.

Aaron Murray defended Mike Bobo against the Georgia fans who want him gone

Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo has a lot of haters, but former UGA quarterback Aaron Murray may be one of his biggest supporters.

In a recent podcast appearance Murray defended Bobo from all the backlash he has received from Georgia fans this offseason. He believes that the hate he gets isn't valid because Georgia has won a lot of games with him running the offense while also having to overcome a lot of hurdles along the way. This includes winning two SEC Championships while their receivers led the nation in drops (2024), a backup quarterback having to play in the SEC Championship game (2024), and a first time starter leading them to another SEC title last season.

Sure Bobo needs to help Georgia win a playoff game, but UGA's defense gave up 39 points in their playoff loss to Ole Miss last season. So instead of screaming about how bad Bobo is, maybe he actually is just as good of an offensive coordinator as Kirby Smart has ever had and winning a national title is just difficult to do

Stetson Bennett may have a new role during the Rams' final preseason game

Stetson Bennett has started the Rams' first two preseason games of the year, and he played well in both games. The Rams however are debating not playing him at all during their final preseason game on Thursday against the Chargers.

Head coach Sean McVay has already confirmed that quarterbacks Ty Simpson and Matthew Caldwell will play, but he himself said they are still trying to figure out if Bennett will play or not. If two other quarterbacks are playing though it seems unrealistic for Bennett to see the field as that would signifiant limit the amount of playing time each QB will get.

If Bennett doesn't play that could also mean he has locked up the Rams' backup quarterback spot for the upcoming season. If the Rams still had doubts about him then they would want him to play, but choosing to keep him sidelined could be a sign he's won the backup job over Simpson because they want to preserve his health.
