One of the biggest takeaways throughout Georgia's fall camp has been the lack of production from the Bulldogs' wide receivers. That however is quickly changing as former five-star Talyn Taylor is emerging as Gunner Stockton's top target at wide receiver.
Stockton and Taylor have been firing on all cylinders this week at practice. This is a refreshing thing to see because just a few weeks ago even Taylor was struggling in practice along with the other Georgia receivers. That however no longer appears to be the case as Stockton and Taylor are emerging as the duo Georgia's offense desperately needs.

Georgia's passing game is arguably the biggest question surrounding the offense heading into the season. The Bulldogs' are returning nearly all of their top running backs from a season ago which includes the electric one-two punch that is Nate Frazier and Chauncey Bowens. Georgia's offense line also returns a lot of experience as well and figures to be one of the top offensive lines in the SEC.
Georgia's passing attack is where there have been some legit questions though. Throughout the offseason both Kirby Smart and Mike Bobo have discussed how they want to be more explosive on offense, but unless Stockton improves with his arm and finds some receivers he can trust that will be difficult to accomplish.
Now just one and a half weeks out from Georgia's first game of the season, Stockton and Taylor are starting to click.
Taylor was one of the top candidates to be Stockton's top target this season at wide receiver. He is a former five-star recruit from the 2025 recruiting class who now has a year of college under his belt and is ready to step into a much larger role. He however needs to prove himself before anyone should be too confident in him, but it sounds like he has been proving himself the past few days in practice.
Taylor's first chance to shine is about one week away when Tennessee State comes to Athens for Georgia's season opener. Week two sees another easy opponent in Western Kentucky come to town followed by their SEC opener at Arkansas. These three games are a great opportunity for Stockton, Taylor and the rest of the offense to figure out how to play together before the meat of their season begins, so hopefully they can start fast and build their confidence in each other before they play their tougher opponents later in the season.
