All 32 NFL organizations are in training camp mode. This means that Georgia fans will get to see how their countless former Bulldogs are doing as they prepare for yet another season to dominate the NFL.
Unfortunately not every former Bulldogs' career is going well, but Jalen Carter and the Philadelphia Eagles just broke the internet by signing a massive contract extension on Tuesday.
Jalen Carter becomes the richest DT in NFL history
Carter was one of the best players during Georgia's run of National Championships. He was a dominant force up front on Georgia's defense, and that hasn't stopped in the NFL.
After three years and 13.5 sacks with the Eagles, Carter signed a new contract extension through the 2031 season with Philly that is worth $152 million. This contract is the largest contract for a defensive tackle in NFL history.
Georgia's 2021 championship team is quickly becoming one of the richest college football teams in history. They collectively have signed close to $1 billion worth of contracts in the NFL, and it doesn't look like they are going to slow down anytime soon.
Seattle Seahawks give up on RB Kenny McIntosh
Another great player on those National Championship teams was running back Kenny McIntosh. He played a minor role on the 2021 team, but he ran for over 800 yards and 10 scores during the Bulldogs' second championship in 2022.
He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2023 NFL Draft, but his career hasn't taken off yet because of a few injuries he has suffered. His worst injury to date was his most recent one when he tore his ACL during the 2025 offseason which forced him to miss the entire season.
McIntosh reportedly still isn't fully healthy yet, so the Seahawks just decided to waive him. He now doesn't have a team to play for this fall once he is healthy, but the hope is that another team will pick him up and give him a chance.
McIntosh unfortunately doesn't have a lot of NFL tape because he has been injured so much of his career, but all it takes is one chance and stretch of injury free football for him to finally prove himself in the league.
Carson Beck's NFL career unsurprisingly is off to a rocky start
Carson Beck was a solid player both at Georgia and Miami. He however had a turnover problem his final year at Georgia and during his one season with Miami as he threw double digit interceptions in both seasons.
He still took Miami all the way to the National Championship game last season and was drafted in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals this year. Their hope is that he will turn into their quarterback of the future, but so far at training camp that is not happening.
In fact, reports are running rampant that he is struggling with is control and routinely missing throws by over five yards.
At this point Georgia fans may not care if he succeeds or fails in the NFL, but if he continues to struggle throwing the ball no one in Athens will be surprised.
