Georgia's baseball program is officially a program that is built to last. After a remarkable 2026 season, Wes Johnson has the program flying up the Transfer Portal rankings as he looks to get back to the College World Series again next season.

The Georgia football program is also making a lot of waves as well. One of the Bulldogs top commits just reaffirmed his commitment to the program, but in even bigger news there were six current players along with a five-star Georgia commit who just signed a massive NIL deal with Nike.

Six Bulldogs and one Georgia commit sign new NIL deal with Nike

On Thursday Nike announced a huge NIL campaign that involved countless football players from across the country. Six Bulldogs signed with Nike in this new NIL deal including tight ends Elyiss Williams and Kaiden Prothro, defensive backs KJ Bolden and Ellis Robinson, wide receiver Talyn Taylor and linebacker Chris Cole.

On top of these six current Bulldogs, incoming five-star tight end commit Jaxon Dollar was one of just 11 high school recruits to sign this NIL deal with Nike as well.

This announcement helps cement why Kirby Smart's NIL strategy works. He doesn't buy recruits like other schools do, instead he sells Georgia on their winning culture and ability to pay their players once they earn it on the field.

These six players showed what can happen when you excel at Georgia, and Dollar showed that recruits with the Georgia 'G' next to their name can collect a check as well.

Kelsey Adams locks in his commitment to Georgia

Four-star offensive tackle Kelsey Adams is one of Georgia's top commits in their 2027 recruiting class. Unfortunately he has shown interest in a few other schools the past few months as he took a handful of official visits to other programs.

Adams however confirmed that even though he does like the other schools he visited, he is 100 percent committed to Georgia and has zero plans of ever decommitting from the program.

Adams at one point was predicted to flip to LSU. That however will not be happening, and it turns out that he never had any plans of doing that. The No. 164 player in the country is sticking with Georgia, and that is a big deal for UGA as they look to climb back inside the top 10 of the recruiting rankings.

Georgia baseball earns No. 1 Transfer Portal ranking

Georgia baseball is fresh off one of their best seasons in program history. After winning the SEC regular season and tournament championship the Bulldogs also made the College World Series for the first time in 18 years, and now that the program has tasted success everyone wants to experience it again.

Thankfully Johnson has the program in position to be one of the best teams in the country again next season as they currently have the No. 1 Transfer Portal class. They earned this ranking a few weeks ago before a few other schools were able to move past them, but after a string of commitments the Bulldogs are back in the No. 1 spot.

Georgia lost a lot of talent this offseason, most notably were the record 13 players that were selected in the MLB Draft. But Johnson still has the program in a great spot even after all of their departures, so fans should expect big things from the program again next season.
