Georgia is in desperate need of some good recruiting news. Thankfully it looks like that could be coming soon with two of their top flip candidates. But until that time comes, Georgia fans can enjoy their current five-star QB commit in the 2028 class who has been showing off his impressive skill set on social media.

There is however one important thing discuss first before diving into either of those topics, and that's the new realization that occurred in Stetson Bennett's quarterback competition in LA that could end up being the end of his career with the Rams when the 2026 season comes to an end.

NFL economics could end up costing Stetson Bennett his career with the Rams

Bennett is currently in a battle with former Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson to become the Rams backup QB. Recent reports indicate that Bennett is currently winning that battle, but in the long run it may not matter.

Bennett's rookie contract with the Rams is up after this season. The Rams could sign him to a new deal, but it would have to be for more money than they are already paying him and more than they are currently paying Simpson on his rookie deal.

That is just how contracts work. Rookie deals tend to be the smallest contracts in the NFL, and when it comes time to sign another deal they are almost always for more money even for players like Bennett who haven't played a meaningful down of football yet.

So even if Bennett beats out Simpson this year, the Rams could still ride with Simpson in the long run because he is the cheaper option.

Georgia is closing in on two flip targets

It's been two weeks since Georgia last earned a commitment. That needs to change in a hurry if they are going to get back into the top 10 recruiting classes in the country.

The good news for Georgia is that they are continuing to make progress with two flip candidates in Jacobi Pasley and Preston Glasco who are currently committed to West Virginia and UConn, respectively.

Both players visited Georgia on June 19, and since then more reports have surfaced about how their relationship with Georgia has continued to improve. At this point it may just be a waiting game until either player flips to UGA, but there has been a lot of good signs that these decisions could come soon.

And to make it even better, they are both defensive backs and would finally give Georgia a committed recruit in the secondary.

5-star Jayden Wade shows why he is the No. 1 QB in the country

Jayden Wade currently is the No. 1 ranked quarterback in the 2028 recruiting. In case some Georgia fans somehow didn't know, he is already committed to UGA.

A highlight from a recent workout of his was recently posted online, and it's safe to say that he is the future of the quarterback position in Athens.

Wade will only be a junior in high school this year, so Georgia is going to have to fight hard to keep his commitment over the next year and a half. But as it stands today Georgia has the commitment from the No. 1 quarterback in the country, and he absolutely looks the part and deserves every bit of that ranking.
