Who doesn't love a good flip? A couple weeks ago Georgia stole top 100 offensive lineman Kennedee Jackson from Florida, and that left fans wanting UGA to steal even more recruits from other schools.
Kirby Smart has had his eye on a few recruits committed to other programs, but there are two that really stand out. They are defensive backs Jacobi Pasley and Preston Glasco who are currently committed to West Virginia and UConn, respectively.
Those two schools clearly are not on the same level as Georgia, so it may just be a matter of time until either player decides to flip their recruitment and commit to UGA.
Kirby Smart has made his case for why Jacobi Pasley and Preston Glasco should flip to Georgia
Flipping a recruit from any school isn't easy even when Georgia is trying to steal someone from West Virginia and UConn. Smart however was given an opportunity to convince both players to change their mind and flip to Georgia though.
Both players officially visited Georgia on June 19. They were both also committed before making this trip, so it was clear that UGA was able to grab their attention enough to at least come check the program out on an official visit.
Neither player has flipped to Georgia since these visits, but it would be crazy for them not to based on how much better of a program Georgia is compared to their current schools. And based on the help that Georgia desperately needs in their recruiting class, earning these commitments would be a huge win for the program.
Jacobi Pasley and Preston Glasco could fix a big problem in Georgia's recruiting class
Pasley and Glasco may not be the highest ranked recruits in the country. In fact, Pasley is just inside the top 900 while Glasco isn't even ranked.
That may cause some fans to panic, but if Smart thinks they are good enough to play at Georgia then no one should care what they are ranked.
Since they are ranked so low some fans might not want to celebrate if they commit to Georgia. Their potential commitments however would be a really big deal because Georgia currently doesn't have any defensive backs committed to their recruiting class.
A couple months ago they actually had two top 100 defensive backs committed. Then disaster struck as five-star Donte Wright flipped to Miami and four-star Jerry Outhouse made the shocking decision to head to UCLA.
Sure Pasley and Glasco are nowhere near the level of Wright and Outhouse, but at this point Georgia needs to start adding some defensive backs to their recruiting class. And like we already mentioned, does anyone think Smart would actually add a recruit that he doesn't think is good enough to play at Georgia?
The answer to that is a resounding no.
