Kelsey Adams is a four-star offensive tackle who is one of Georgia's top commits in the 2027 class. He has been committed to Georgia since last September, but since this summer he has shown signs that he is thinking about flipping to other schools.

On3 caught up with Adams recently to see where his commitment to Georgia stands. His statement is that he is "pretty locked in with Georgia" but using the word "pretty" unfortunately does not mean he is 100 percent locked in with UGA.

Kelsey Adams is someone Georgia can build their future around

Holding onto Adams' commitment is extremely important for Georgia. The difference between winning and losing in football can be simplified down to the battle in the trenches because the team who dominates the line of scrimmage tends to be the team who wins the game.

Adams is someone Georgia needs on their offensive line who could dominate their opponents for years to come. According to 247Sports he is the No. 165 overall player in the country and the No. 18 tackle in the 2027 class. Sure he isn't the highest raked recruit, but Georgia has developed offensive linemen ranked far lower than him into NFL starters.

That is what the future could hold for Adams if he chooses to remain true to his commitment to Georgia, but the Bulldogs have a little over a month still to hold onto his commitment.

LSU likely is Georgia's biggest competition

The above report indicates that multiple schools in the SEC are still pushing for Adams' commitment. There isn't a public list naming all of the teams going after him, but LSU is one team we know is working hard to flip him and they have been finding some success as well.

This past summer LSU was actually predicted by two 247Sports' experts to flip Adams from Georgia. That however has not occurred, but Adams hasn't completely said no to the idea of flipping to LSU since he did make a visit to Baton Rouge for a game this fall.

Georgia should love their chances since he hasn't flipped yet, but there is still plenty of time for him to change his mind. Signing day is at the beginning of December and that is when Adams can officially sign with Georgia. Still holding onto his commitment with about a month to go is good for Georgia, but LSU and apparently a few other schools are still aggressively pursuing him.

Only time will tell with this recruitment, but as of now Georgia is going to have to work extremely hard if they are going to keep Adams in their recruiting class.
