Georgia fans so far have been pretty upset with the Bulldogs' 2027 recruiting class. They have been ranked outside the top 10 in the class rankings all offseason and currently sit at No. 12 which frankly is not good enough.
A big reason for their low ranking is because nearly half off their commits are three-stars. That however just changed as wide receiver commit Taurean Rawlins just earned his coveted fourth star on the 247Sports composite rankings.

Tuarean Rawlins proves no one should be worried about Georgia's recruiting
As mentioned, some Georgia fan have been upset over the fact that Georgia has so many three-star commits in their recruiting class. This has also been one of the biggest reasons why rival fanbases have been making fun of Georgia this offseason too. But their claims of Kirby Smart being washed were dumb from the jump, and this update proves that.
At some point people need to realize that Smart knows what he is doing. Does anyone honestly think he would let players commit to Georgia if he doesn't think they are good enough to play for him? Are people really trusting recruiting rankings over arguably the greatest active head coach in all of college football?
Smart has proven time and time again that he knows what he is doing. Every year there are examples of former three-star recruits turning into All-SEC and NFL caliber players at Georgia, so why would that change now?
Looking at Rawlins specifically everyone should've known that he was likely to climb up the recruiting rankings. He committed to Georgia on May 31 choosing UGA over Ohio State, Indiana and Arkansas, does anyone think programs like Ohio State and Indiana would go after bad players either?
So instead of worrying about what a random recruiting website thinks of Georgia's recruiting class it's probably time to trust the coach that has won more than any other active head coach and the guy who regularly turns three-star recruits into superstars.
Kirby Smart still has work to do save Georgia's 2027 recruiting class
Even if no one should worry about what Georgia's recruiting class looks like in the recruiting rankings, Smart still has a lot of work to do.
The biggest area that needs to improve is their defensive back class. Right now Georgia only has one defensive back committed to their 2027 recruiting class, and that is nowhere near enough. The Bulldogs realistically need three or four more defensive backs in their recruiting class, so Smart has to find a way to make that happen to save Georgia's recruiting class.
Smart also has to prevent any of his current commits from flipping to other programs as well. He has already lost a couple really good commits so far, and if they are going to sign a good recruiting class they can't afford to lose any more of their top commits.
Smart however should never be doubted. As long as he keeps winning championships then he should have the trust of the entire fanbase, and any rival fan that attempts to troll him is just showing how little they know about what winning football looks like.
