Former Georgia football defensive lineman Warren Brinson knows what it takes to succeed at Georgia. Brinson had a stellar career at UGA where he played a big role in both National Championship teams. He even had his best season this past year as he helped lead Georgia to their SEC Championship winning season.
Brinson’s career at Georgia may be over as he now heads to the NFL, but he isn’t done helping out the Bulldogs just yet. Even though he is gearing up for his rookie season with the Green Bay Packers, Brinson took the time to help recruit the No. 1 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.

Warren Brinson is helping recruit No. 1 DL
LaDamion Guyton is a five-star EDGE who is the No. 1 player in the 2027 recruiting class. Guyton is also from the state of Georgia, so it’s clear that this is a recruitment UGA will desperately want to win.
Georgia currently sits in a good spot with Guyton as he was recently quoted saying UGA will always be a team at the top of his list. This is obviously an amazing thing to hear, but even if that’s the case there is one other team who may be ahead of Georgia right now.
That team is Texas Tech, who received a prediction to win Guyton’s recruitment at the beginning of July.
No other team has made much noise with Guyton recently, so it appears that Georgia and Texas Tech could be the two contenders in his recruitment. One would assume that Georgia should have no problems beating a program like Texas Tech, but the Red Raiders have quickly become one of the top NIL programs in the country, so that could play a major role with Guyton.
But Brinson helping recruit Guyton to Georgia won’t hurt their chances, and if more players join in the cause then maybe Guyton will end up committing to Georgia when it’s all said and done.
