Georgia is coming off their bye week and are looking to rebound after their embarrassing loss last week to Auburn. Thankfully they get an opportunity for a big win as they take on No. 20 Florida in one of the best rivalries in the SEC.
This game has been played in Jacksonville since the mid-90s, but this year will be different as the two teams were forced to find a new location to play this season that will make game day look a bit different than everyone is used to.
Where are Georgia and Florida playing?
Georgia and Florida typically play in Jacksonville. That has been the location for this game since 1995, but Jacksonville's stadium is being renovated so that forced the teams to find a new location. This year Georgia and Florida will play in Atlanta with their game in 2027 taking place in Tampa.
It might feel nice at first that this game is being played at a neutral site to keep that tradition alive, but these teams missed a golden opportunity to play on their campuses. Florida and Georgia will play in Jacksonville every season once again in 2028, so instead of finding new neutral sites for 2026 and 2027 they could've let each team have one home game.
That would've given both fan bases a chance to watch this amazing rivalry in their own stadiums which hasn't been done since 1995, but instead both programs decided they'd rather make more money than give fans a unique experience.
When do Georgia and Florida play?
Kickoff between Georgia and Florida is scheduled for 3:30 pm EST. This is the traditional time slot for this matchup, and since it is at a neutral site it doesn't matter all that much that it won't be a night game which tends to lead to better environments.
How to watch Georgia football play Florida
Georgia and Florida will air on ABC. The game will also be available to watch on the ESPN app and Fubo TV.
What does Vegas think of Georgia's matchup with Floida?
Georgia is a 10.5 point favorite over Florida, according to the DraftKings Sportsbook. The over-under for this game is set at 56.5 points as well.
ESPN's matchup predictor likes Georgia in this game as well as they give them an 82.1 percent chance to win this game.
It is nice for Georgia to be favored heading into this matchup, but against this Florida team it doesn't really matter. Florida may just be the most unpredictable team in the SEC this year because they have two great wins against Ole Miss and Texas but two bad losses against South Carolina and Missouri. It's impossible to predict which version of Florida will show up next week when they play Georgia, but there's a chance they could look like one of the best teams in the country or one of the worst.
Georgia will be ready for a battle either way, but Vegas is confident that UGA will walk away with a big victory that they desperately need after their upset loss to Auburn a week ago.
