Carson Beck is off to the NFL after spending one season with Miami. Georgia fans may not have been watching Beck that closely throughout the season, but they are all too familiar with his game after cheering him on as their starting quarterback for two years.
Beck undoubtedly will be selected in the NFL Draft this year, but it isn't quite clear what round he will go in. A big reason for that is because some teams are hesitant to want to draft him as one anonymous NFL scout explained below.
One scout's weakness for Carson Beck:

"Too willing to make throws against his body or lead receivers into big hits."

Caron Beck isn't feeling the love throughout the NFL Draft process
Georgia faced one major problem when Beck was their quarterback. He clearly was extremely talented as he led them to an undefeated regular season in 2023 and to back-to-back SEC Championship games as well. But he owes a lot of credit to Georgia's defense for helping accomplish those goals because he dealt with a lot of turnover problems.
While he did fumble the ball a few times, his main issue surrounded passing the ball to the other team.
In all of the games Georgia lost with Beck under center there was one defining moment where he threw an interception that ultimately cost them the game. That even happened at Miami in the National Championship game this year as a costly turnover clinched a victory for Indiana.
So what has been the cause for these turnover problems? One NFL scout believes it has to do with throwing the ball across his body too often. And in the NFL that is a recipe for disaster.
Oh yeah, he also leads his receivers into big hits all the time which isn't a good trait either.
Some team will take a chance on Beck though, but it's hard to see him working out as an NFL starter. He however is more than capable of being a steady backup, so that more than likely is how his career will go. But he will always have the last laugh against Georgia after leading Miami to a deeper playoff run this season.
