Georgia football has a small 2026 recruiting class so far, and one of the top players in that class is four-star corner Jontavius Wyman. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Wyman is the No. 166 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 17corner and the No. 22 player from his home state of Georgia as well.
Wyman is obviously a huge piece to Kirby Smart's recruiting class, but unfortunately he is the one commit who is looking at other schools the most right now.
Just last week, Rivals named Wyman one of the SEC's most likely recruits to flip. Then Wyman went as far as to share which schools are showing the most interest in him as well. Fast forward to Wednesday and On3's Chad Simmons released an unfortunate report that Wyman is making a visit to Miami (FL) this week.
Is Miami a threat to Georgia for 4-star CB Jontavius Wyman?

How worried should Georgia fans be about Wyman?
As likely everyone knows, it isn't uncommon for committed players to take visits elsewhere. So the fact that he is going to visit Miami this week isn't anything to really worry about by itself.
However, the fact that so many reports have been coming out about him being involved with other schools is beginning to get a little concerning. It's one thing if a recruit takes the occassional visit to another school, but it's a whole different story when they are in the news every other day being linked to other teams.
So this recruitment feels like one that could be drifting away from Georgia. And Miami of all schools would be one of the worst programs to lose Wyman to because the Hurricanes stole Carson Beck earlier this year already.
It will be interesting to see what notes come out of this visit, but if Wyman is going to decommit from Georgia it feels like that could happen soon after this visit..
