Georgia football is fresh off their fourth win a row against rival Florida, this time by a 34-20 final score. While a 14 point victory is solid on paper (considering the spread was 14.5 points), the game felt a lot closer than the final score indicates.

Because of Georgia's struggles against the Gators, UGA actually fell back a little in the updated AP Poll rankings. They still sit at No. 2 in the country, but the gap between them and No. 1 Oregon has increased.

In last week's AP Poll, Georgia earned one first place vote while Oregon held an 82 point lead over the Bulldogs. But in this week's poll, Georgia no longer has any first place votes and is now 101 points behind Oregon. It's unlikely that Georgia will ever pass Oregon until the Ducks lose, but the voters are starting to view Oregon as the clear No. 1 team in the country.

The only ranked SEC team to lose this week was Texas A&M, who dropped their first SEC game of the season to South Carolina 44-20. This loss made the Aggies the biggest droppers of the week after falling five spots to No. 15.

No. 24 Vanderbilt is the only new team to enter the poll this week after defeating Auburn on the road 17-7. Missouri on the other hand has dropped out of the rankings after being on a bye.

The biggest risers in this week's poll were Alabama and Ole Miss, who both rose three spots.

Next week is a massive week in the SEC. Kirby Smart's Bulldogs travels to No. 16 Ole Miss in the afternoon ABC slot while No. 11 Alabama will take on No. 14 LSU directly after this game. All four teams still have a chance to make the SEC Championship game, but the two losers will find it nearly impossible to make it there. Also, Ole Miss, Alabama and LSU all have two losses this season already, so a third loss for them would eliminate them from College Football Playoff contention.

Stay tuned later this week as the first edition of the CFP rankings will be released Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7:00 pm EST on ESPN.
