Georgia football has gotten a lot of good news in the past week. A lot of news has come in the form of Kirby Smart earning commitments from some elite players in the transfer portal, but there has been some huge announcements coming from current Bulldogs who decided to return to Georgia again for the 2025 season.
One of those players was running back Trevor Etienne, who recently stated that he will be coming back next season which will give Georgia one of the top backfields in the country. But another elite player, this time on defense, just announced his return as well, and this is just as big as Etienne announcing his return.
BIG news for #UGA's defense as Daylen Everette has announced that he's returning for the 2025 season.

Georgia DB Daylen Everette
Georgia football star defensive back Daylen Everette announced on Friday that he will be returning to Georgia for one final season. This news is about as good as it can possibly get as Everette is one of the top players in the secondary for Georgia if not on the entire defense.
Everette just wrapped up his third season at Georgia where he had his best season of his career by far. He finished the 2024 season with 58 tackles, three passes defended, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and one sack. Everette's best game of the season came in Georgia's SEC Championship win over Texas when picked off the Longhorns twice which earned him the MVP award for the game.
Everette undoubtedly will be a starter next season as he has been the starter at corner for 28 straight games. So while there are a lot of question marks heading into next season with this Georgia team, Everette at corner is not one of them. He will be one of the best players on next year's squad and he will also be one of the leaders of the team in the locker room as well.
