While Georgia football has had a pretty successful early signing period for their 2025 recruiting class, other schools have had a far better couple of days compared to Georgia so far. The Bulldogs entered national signing day on Wednesday with the No. 1 recruiting class in the country, but that quickly changed.

Kirby Smart and Georgia lost a top 100 running back in Ousmane Kromah on Wednesday which hurt Georgia’s class a little, but that was the only loss for UGA these last two days. A few other schools however were able to flip some highly ranked recruits, so they were able to move past Georgia in the recruiting rankings.

This includes Texas who’s currently No. 1 as well as Alabama and Oregons who are No. 2 and No. 3.

But as we head into Friday, Georgia football may be in position to take over the No. 1 spot again if Justus Terry commits to Georgia.

Five-star DL Justus Terry

Terry is a five-star defensive lineman who is the No. 10 ranked player in the country. He also is the No. 2 defensive lineman in his class as well as the No. 3 overall player from the state of Georgia.

Terry currently is not committed to any school right now, but he will be announcing his final decision and signing his National Letter of Intent with that school around noon on Friday. And as it stands, Georgia is predicted to be the team to beat in Terry’s recruitment.

As mentioned, Georgia has the No. 4 ranked recruiting class in the country right now, but a commitment from Terry will move them back to the No. 1 spot according to 247Sports immediately. So hopefully Smart and Georgia are able to hold on and win this recruitment, that way they can have a chance to finish with the top ranked class for the second year in a row.
