Georgia football is fresh of their second massive recruiting event of June. The Bulldogs officially hosted 18 elite recruits from the 2026 recruiting class this past weekend, and it appears some fireworks may be on the horizon for UGA.

Countless reports are flooding in from recruits and recruiting insiders all claiming how great this weekend was for Georgia. However, a commitment has not occurred yet from any recruit visiting Athens this past weekend.

That however could be changing very soon as Rivals insider Radi Nabulsi officially put Georgia on “commit watch.”

2 most likely Georgia football commit candidates

Nabulsi unfortunately did not share who could be committing soon for Georgia, but there are two prime candidates.

The first is three-star offensive lineman Zachary Lewis, who according to 247Sports is the No. 32 interior offensive lineman. Georgia is battling rival Georgia Tech for his commitment, but On3’s Steve Wiltfong has already logged a prediction in Georgia’s favor to win this recruitment.

While a commitment from Lewis would be nice to see, four-star corner Caden Harris would be an even bigger commitment. Harris is a top 100 recruit in the 2026 class, and is also currently committed to Vanderbilt as well. But his visit to Georgia this past weekend appears to be causing him to reconsider that commitment because he was also officially predicted to commit to Georgia as well.

A third option that seems a little less likely is four-star safety Chace Calicut. A separate post also put Georgia on “commit watch” with Calicut, but he is still officially predicted to Texas according to 247Sports. That obviously could change, but for now it seems unlikely to happen in the near future.

Time will tell if Georgia is able to land a commitment soon and who that recruit will be, but don’t be surprised to see UGA add another recruit very soon.
