Georgia football has been extremely active in the transfer portal this week, especially at wide receiver. Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are expecting visits from multiple top transfer wide receivers, which includes the No. 1 transfer in the country.

But there is another wide receiver in the portal that Georgia fans should keep an eye on, and that is Kentucky transfer Dane Key.

Key is one of the top receivers in the transfer portal, and it's easy to see why as he's accumulated 126 receptions for 1,870 yards and 14 touchdowns in his three seasons at Kentucky.

Knowing that Georgia is in need of some help at wide receiver next season, it should not be a surprise to see that Georgia is very interested in Key. And it turns out that Key is very interested in Georgia as well, and is even expected to take a visit to Athens next week, according to Matt Zenitz with 247Sports.

Georgia may be the leader for Key

It is hard to say for sure how good of a chance Georgia has at landing Key out of the portal, but On3 is very confident in Georgia's chances. As of Dec. 12, On3 gives the Bulldogs a 100 percent chance to win this recruitment.

Like with any recruitment, it is never over until the player officially commits to the school, so this does not mean Georgia has won this recruitment yet. But it is a great sign that Georgia is the leader in Key's recruitment and could potentially close this recruitment out next week when he visits Georgia.

In a perfect world that is exactly what will happen, and Key will become Georgia's first transfer portal acquisition this offseason. And what a massive start to the portal season that would be for Georgia considering how big of a need UGA has at wide receiver.
