Georgia football has capped off an impressive recruiting class once again in the 2025 class as Kirby Smart signed the No. 3 class in the country according to 247Sports. Now that the 2025 cycle is complete, it's time for Smart and his staff to turn their full attention on the 2026 recruiting class.

Georgia is already after many of the top players in the country in the 2026 class, but none are better than the player that they hosted on Thursday.

5-star QB Jared Curtis

Jared Curtis is a five-star quarterback from Nashville, TN. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Curtis is the No. 4 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 2 QB and the top ranked player from his home state of Tennessee as well.

Does this name ring a bell to anyone? Georgia actually has a long history with Curtis as he used to be committed to Georgia before shockingly decommitting from the program in mid-October. Even though Curtis decommitted from Georgia, he made it clear that the Bulldogs were still in the running, but that is a tough thing to believe after someone decommits from Georgia. It's especially difficult to believe when experts named Oregon as the new leader one week after his decommittment.

However, it turns out that Georgia is in fact still in the running as Curtis was reportedly in Athens on a visit on Thursday, according to Jeff Sentel with Dawg Nation. While this doesn't confirm how good Georgia's chance are to land Curtis again, it does show that they still have a chance.

Hopefully this visit went well because Curtis is a player Georgia would be very fortunate to get back in their recruiting class. Smart has convinced players to commit to Georgia again in the past, so hopefully that is what happens in this recruitment.
