Georgia football is about one month away from finding out if five-star quarterback Jared Curtis will be committing to the Bulldogs or picking Oregon. The No. 1 QB in the class is all anyone is talking about on the recruiting trail right now because not much is known regarding who is leading for him.

However, a few weeks ago On3 named Georgia the leader for Curtis which was a nice update to see. That unfortunately did not last long however as On3 now names Oregon as the team to beat, giving them a 54 percent chance to win compared to 37 perfect for UGA.

It’s not time to panic yet

There are a lot of reasons why Georgia fans shouldn’t be panicking yet. For starters, this prediction from On3 still doesn’t strongly favor the Ducks, so until that percent gets a lot higher Georgia will still have a chance.

Also is the fact that no expert has logged a prediction in Curtis’s recruitment yet as this prediction from On3 is from their Recruiting Prediction Machine, not an actual human.

Lastly, it still wouldn’t be the end of the world if Georgia does miss on Curtis. Yes it would be a huge loss because adding a player like Curtis to Georgia would be amazing, but there are other options out there that Georgia could pivot to who are very good as well. In fact, Bowe Bentley, who is the No. 5 QB in the country, is very likely to commit to Georgia if Curtis doesn’t.

So at the end of the day, no official prediction has been made in Curtis’s recruitment yet, so anything is possible. But even if this recruitment is drifting away from Gerogia like On3 is suggesting, that isn’t the worst thing in the would because Kirby Smart and his staff have options.
