Georgia vs Florida final odds
Georgia opened as a 9.5 point favorite over Florida in this game at the start of the week. That is a respectable number for a top 20 matchup, but this spread has been on the move ever since it was first set.
Instead of Florida gaining some ground though it is Georgia who has become an even larger favorite throughout this week. Georgia now is a 12.5 point favorite over Florida, according to the DraftKings Sportsbook.
So far this season Georgia is 5-2 against the spread. Winning by at least 13 points will not be easy, but at the end of the day all that truly matters is if Georgia wins by at least one point.
Florida QB controversy is in full swing 24 hours before kickoff
Florida's situation at quarterback has been the biggest story to follow this week surrounding this game. Aaron Philo was their starter for their first six games this season, but backup Tramell Jones stepped in two weeks ago at Texas while he was injured. Jones surprisingly led Florida to an upset win at Texas in this game.
At the start of this week though both players were questionable to play due to injury. Coaches, fans and potentially players all had different opinions on who they thought should start at quarterback for Florida as well. Some thought the job should be Philo's since he won it out of fall camp, but others thought Jones should continue playing since the only game he started they won at Texas.
Florida however is going with Philo as their starter, and that is great news for Georgia. Not only has Philo played a big role in their two losses to Missouri and South Carolina this season, but he is not nearly as effective of a runner as Jones is. Jones may have been a matchup nightmare for Georgia, but they won't have to worry about seeing him on the field unless Philo gets hurt during the game.
Game odds adjust periodically and are subject to change.
