There were quite a few interesting storylines surrounding Georgia football this weekend. The Bulldogs hosted 18 recruits on official visits this past weekend, and so far they’ve earned one commitment from four-star defensive lineman Carter Luckie.

While that is the biggest story so far from this weekend’s visitors, there is still a lot of other exciting storylines to follow. Maybe the most intriguing thing to watch closely now is how the two recruits committed to other programs who visited Georgia this weekend will react to their visit. Those recruits are Alabama commit Chris Booker and Notre Dame commit Thimas Davis Jr.

While Georgia fans will certainly be watching those names closely, a new piece of intel about four-star wide receiver Craig Dandridge came out on Sunday that is encouraging to see and potentially even more interesting.

"Originally, I had an official visit planned for Clemson on this weekend, but we ended up talking to Coach Smart and canceling that visit."

4-star WR chose to visit Georgia over Clemson

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Dandridge is the No. 310 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 48 ranked wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 38 overall player from Georgia.

According to Dandridge himself, he was planning on visiting Clemson this past weekend. However, instead of heading to the Tigers, he opted to visit Georgia instead.

This news reinforces the fact that many experts believe Georgia is the team to beat in this recruitment. In fact, the Bulldogs have two crystal ball predictions in their favor that were recently made in this recruitment on 247Sports.

But the fact that Daindridge chose to visit Georgia over Clemson is extra important because Clemson had multiple top recruits Georgia is pursuing on their campus this weekend. So it’s nice to give the Tigers a taste of their own medicine.

It remains to be seen if Dandridge will become a Bulldog or not, but all signs point towards positive news coming for Georgia at some point in the future.
