Georgia football is in a very uncomfortable spot when it comes to their quarterback room. Jared Curtis was supposed to be the quarterback of the future for UGA, but after he decommitted Georgia was left scrambling to try and find a replacement.
The bad news is that Georgia did not have a backup plan if Curtis did decide to leave. So now that Curtis is officially gone Georgia does not have a plan in place to replace him in the 2026 recruiting class. So that leaves the Transfer Portal window this offseason as the only option for Georgia to add to their QB room.
And Georgia insider Radi Nabulsi believes the Bulldogs are going to be very active in the portal this offseason looking for a quarterback.

Georgia will be active in the Transfer Portal looking for a quarterback
Georgia's urgency in the portal will depend on what Gunner Stockton decides to do. If he leaves for the NFL Draft then they will be left with one QB in Ryan Puglisi thatt they can trust. That is not a position Georgia can afford to be in, so if Stockton leaves they will have to get multiple quarterbacks out of the portal.
If Stockton stays for one more season though then they won't have to be as aggressive in the portal, but they will still need to add at least one quarterback to strengthen their depth.
No matter what Stockton decides to do Georgia will most likely have no choice but to add a quarterback out of the portal. But if he does leave for the NFL then Georgia will need two new quarterbacks at minimum. This would be a unique position for Georgia to be in under Kirby Smart, but they would have Curtis to thank for that because they were never supposed to be in this position in the first place.
