Georgia football wide receiver commit Vance Spafford continues to be tabbed as UGA's biggest flip candidate.

Recruitments of players committed to other programs are always the most exciting for Georgia fans to pay attention to. It is always fun to see if Kirby Smart and his staff are able to convince another player that they are a better landing spot for a recruit compared to the program they already committed to.

Georgia has one of their own flip candidates officially visiting Athens this weekend in wide receiver Terrious Favors, who is a current Boise State commit. While following this recruitment will be very interesting this weekend, seeing what Spafford does while on his visit to Georgia might be even more intriguing.

Spafford has been committed to Georgia since last November. Countless reports have surfaced surrounding Spafford since then and how he is a likely candidate to flip to another program, with Miami (FL) being the most likely landing spot. And Georgia insider Jeff Sentell with Dawg Nation unfortunately shares these same concerns.

"There is some concern about Spafford in this class as well," Sentell shared via dawgnation.com. "He’s one of the few public commits in the class that hasn’t come out and said that he’s shut down his recruitment. Miami and Washington still look as potential contenders to pull the flip there."

Spafford's visit to Georgia this weekend could change everything

Spafford will take his official visit to Georgia this weekend, so this gives UGA a chance to end his recruitment. Three of UGA's commits made that very announcement earlier this week, but Spafford is yet to say that he has officially ended his recruitment.

But Georgia could be one strong visit away from Spafford realizing that Athens is the place for him. And hopefully Georgia is able to accomplish just that, because Spafford would be an elite receiver to pair with five-star Jared Curtis, who just so happens to be visiting Georgia this weekend as well.
