For all the struggles Kirby Smart has endured recruiting the quarterback position in the 2027 class, he has Georgia in a perfect spot at the position in the 2028 class. Smart already has the No. 1 quarterback in the 2028 class, Jayden Wade, committed to Georgia, a decision he made last November.

Since then Wade has remained loyal to Georgia and has taken multiple chances to express how much he loves Georgia on social media. Georgia unfortunately is entering a concerning time in his recruitment though as he is about to embark on visits to two other schools.

Jayden Wade warned Georgia of his desire to visit other schools

The above report does not specifically share which schools Wade plans to visit, but that doesn't really matter. The only thing that matters is that he is taking other visits, and that is a concerning thing.

Wade however did warn Georgia a few months ago that these visits were coming. Back in February he told fans that he was planning on taking a few other visits and that even if he did they shouldn't worry about his commitment to Georgia.

While it is nice to hear him say that, it is impossible to not be slightly concerned going forward because of Georgia's recent history with top ranked quarterbacks.

How concerned should Georgia fans be about Jayden Wade's commitment?

Does anyone remember what happened last year? Jared Curtis, who was the No. 1 quarterback in the 2026 class, was committed to Georgia before he flipped to Vanderbilt at the last second. A few years before that the same thing happened with Dylan Raiola who flipped to Nebraska.

Smart has not had a lot of luck with top ranked quarterbacks, and based on that fact alone it is easy for fans to be nervous about Wade regardless of what he does. But the fact that he is visiting two other schools will really make Georgia fans panic, and they have every reason to do so.

All fans can do at this point is trust that what he said in the past is true. Wade said no one needs to worry about these visits, so as a fanbase there isn't anything else they can do.

Jayden Wade is in a new battle fans will want to watch closely

Smart however needs to keep his foot on the gas. Wade is someone who can bring Georgia back to the top of the college football world, so he needs to do whatever it takes to get him to sign with Georgia in a year and a half.

There more than likely will be a lot of bumps in the road until that point, and these visits are the first true hurdle Georgia has to overcoe. But that's what happens when Smart goes after a big fish like Wade, so it's up to him to learn from his previous mistakes and get this recrument to the finish line.

Wade is the future at quarterback for Georgia, and Smart needs to make sure it stays that way.
