This very well could be the hottest Georgia football has ever been on the recruiting trail in the history of the program. That might be a wild thing to read considering how elite the Bulldogs have been at recruiting during the Kirby Smart era, but after the events that transpired on Sunday, May 11 it's hard to argue against that.

Everyone knows by now that Georgia earned a commitment from five-star quarterback Jared Curtis last week. Typically when a school earns a commitment from the top ranked QB, the floodgates open as many other elite players across the country want to play with him.

And it's safe to say that those floodgates are officially open because Georgia has received predictions to receive a commitment from a whopping eight different players on May 11.

8 official predictions logged in favor of Georgia

The following eight players were all officially predicted to commit to Georgia on Sunday, May 11. These players are ranked in order of their overall ranking in the 2026 recruiting class according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

1. 5-star OT Jackson Cantwell - No. 1

2. 4-star S Jordan Smith - No. 95

3. 4-star ATH Tyriq Green - No. 146

4. 4-star WR Ryan Mosley - No. 181

5. 4-star IOL Breck Kolojay - No. 278

6. 4-star DL Carter Luckie - No. 317

7. 4-star WR Craig Dandridge - No. 328

8. 3-star IOL Malcolm Gaston - No. 472

The headliner from this list is obviously Jackson Cantwell, who is the No. 1 overall player in the country. Cantwell is scheduled to announce his commitment on May 13, so Georgia fans won't have to wait too long to get a final word from the best player in the 2026 recruiting class.

The other seven players on this list are great recruits as well as six of them are four-star recruits with the final player being a high three-star who is sought after by many of the top programs in the south. The sixth player on this list, Carter Luckie, likely jumps out as well because he is the brother of current Georgia tight end Lawson Luckie.

Cantwell is the only player on this list with a scheduled commitment date, but every recruitment isn't over until they officially announce their final decision. So these predictions do not guarantee that Georgia will earn a commitment from all eight players, but as it stands today there is a great chance of that happening.

But let's assume Georgia does land all eight players, and if that happened today the Bulldogs would immediately shoot up to No. 2 in the team recruiting rankings according to 247Sports. So it's safe to say that Georgia has a chance to once again finish with one of the best classes in the country.
