Georgia football can't seem to get a win over Alabama no matter how hard they try. Not only are they continuing to lose to the Crimson Tide on the field, but they are losing to them on the recruiting trail just as much as well.

Five-star quarterback Elijah Haven looks like he will be the next loss to the Crimson Tide for Georgia as he was just predicted to commit to Alabama by Rivals' Steve Wiltfong.

Georgia falling behind Alabama for nation's No. 1 QB

According to 247Sports, Haven is the No. 1 overall quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class. He also is the top ranked player from his home state of Louisiana and is the No. 2 player in the country.

Georgia has aggressively targeted Haven throughout the past year, and he appeared to love UGA as well. In fact, Haven previously said that he was planning on taking a visit to Georgia this season. Unfortunately this momentum Georgia had is gone as it looks like Alabama is going to be the team that emerges victorious in his recruitment.

Losing Haven however isn't be the end of the world for Georgia. The Bulldogs are bringing the No. 1 quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class to Georgia in Jared Curtis already. Georgia also is the team to beat for five-star QB Jayden Wade who is the No. 1 quarterback in the 2028 class as well.

It is unfortunate that the team Georgia struggles with the most is going to be the program who wins Haven's recruitment, but UGA will be just fine at the end of the day. Georgia's quarterback room is as healthy as it's ever been, and if they can win Wade's recruitment it will only get better.

Haven has not yet committed to Alabama, but the expectation is for him to do so very soon. Regardless, Georgia fans shouldn't panic too much because the future of the quarterback position in Athens is very healthy whether Haven came to Athens or not.
