Georgia football is after a few quarterbacks in the 2026 recruiting class, and one of those players in Bowe Bentley. According to 247Sports, Bentley is the No. 76 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 7 quarterback in the 2026 class and the No. 12 overall player from his home state of Texas as well.

The Elite 11 quarterback camp made a stop in Tampa, FL on Saturday, and Bentley made the trip over to compete with other quarterbacks in the 2026 class. One of the drills each QB went through was the 40-yard dash, and Bentley showed off his speed while demonstrating one of the reasons why Georgia is aggressively pursuing him.

Where does Georgia stand with Bentley?

Bentley recently announced his top three schools, and Georgia made the cut along with LSU and Oklahoma. But it sounds like UGA is the team to beat according to one insider.

Looking at things from Georgia's perspective however, five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, who is the No. 1 QB in the class, is the Bulldogs first choice in this class. Kirby Smart and his staff will wait for Curtis to make his final decision before taking any other QB, but thankfully the timing of this works out very well.

Curtis will announce his commitment in one month on May 5, while Bentley does not have a commitment date in mind yet. Most assume that he will take his three official visits later this summer before deciding, so that timeline is perfect for Georgia.

If Curtis commits to UGA, then Georgia will no longer pursue Bentley. But if Curtis picks Oregon instead then Georgia will go all out for Bentley. And most experts believe that Georgia would become the heavy favorite to win this recruitment if that ends up happening.

So be sure to pay close attention to Curtis's decision next month, because Georgia will either add the No. 1 QB to their class or become the immediate favorite to land Bentley.
