Georgia has suffered their fair share of injuries this season, but so far they had avoided a catastrophic blow. That run however came to a crashing end Thursday night when UGA received the worst injury update so far this season.
Starting defensive lineman Jordan Hall was injured during Georgia’s win over Florida on Saturday, and unfortunately he has been ruled out for the rest of the season, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

A notable blow for the Bulldogs. Hall is a starter and former 5-star recruit. https://t.co/HTHglsNO1L pic.twitter.com/fx0Ng3bJBX
Starting DL Jordan Hall ruled out for Georgia
Hall went down with a leg injury during the first drive of Georgia’s game against Florida last weekend. He did not return to the game and Kirby Smart later said that he would be out for a long time. Smart however did not put a timeline on his recovery, so that gave Georgia fans a little hope that he’d back back later this season.
But those hopes no longer exist after this injury update from Nakos.
Hall has been a starter for Georgia all season and is a former five-star recruit. He may not have the traditional stats that Georgia expects from a player of his skill level at this position, but he has proven to be anchor that has come up big in multiple moments for Georgia this season. Hall will be difficult to replace, but the Bulldogs do have the depth needed to withstand this loss.
This update however came at the worst possible time. Georgia only has four games left this season and they can’t afford to lose another game if they want to win the SEC, so the Bulldogs have to be at their best if they are going to finish the season with four more wins.
Unfortunately losing Hall means Georgia will not be at their best this year anymore, but they need to find an answer in their game against Mississippi State on Saturday and for the rest of the season.
