Georgia football unfortunately suffered a few key injuries during their win over Florida on Saturday. The injury however that was the biggest blow by far came to defensive lineman Jordan Hall who went down with a leg injury during the first drive of the game.

Hall did not return to the game and Kirby Smart shared in his postgame press conference that his injury could be significant. Unfortunately those concerns came true on Monday as Smart confirmed that Hall will be out for the foreseeable future.

"Jordan will be out for some time, not sure how long," Smart said via si.com.

Kirby Smart shares heartbreaking Jordan Hall injury update

In true fashion Smart did not share any specifics about Hall’s injury, but the message he shared was more than clear. This injury to Hall is serious and he will miss a good amount of time this season.

There is some good news in this though because Smart did not rule Hall out for the rest of the season. If his injury was that bad Smart wouldn’t be afraid to say he was done for the year, but it looks like Hall will most likely make a return at some point this season. Unfortunately it isn’t clear when that will be.

Hall is one of Georgia’s starting defensive linemen, so this loss is very significant. His stats may not show how impactful this loss is as he only has 12 tackles so far this season, but Hall is one of UGA’s best defensive linemen and it will be tough to replace him.

Georgia appears to be in prime position to make the College Football Playoff again this season, so Hall hopefully will be back by then. The CFP is still over a month away so it feels like that could be a realistic timeline for him, but at this point it’s anyone’s guess when Hall will return to the field.
