Georgia is off to a perfect 3-0 start so far this season, but that was expected. The first three games of the season will arguably be their three easiest games this year, so while Georgia deserves credit for handling their business they now need to prove themselves against some better competition.
Up next for Georgia is a date against Oklahoma. At the start of the season this looked like it would be one of their biggest tests this year, but after three games that no longer is the case as Ole Miss, Alabama and Florida look like Georgia's three most difficult games this year.
1. Ole Miss Rebels
Ole Miss may just have the best resume in the SEC three weeks into the season. They opened their season with a 41-38 victory over Louisville who is currently ranked No. 16 in the country. Then they added a victory over No. 10 LSU this past weekend in Lane Kiffin's return to Oxford.
The Rebels are currently ranked No. 4 in the country and look like a team capable of winning a national championship. A big reason for that is quarterback Trinidad Chambliss who dominated Georgia in their two meetings last year and is off to an equally impressive start this season.
Georgia travels to Ole Miss on Nov. 7 so we will know a lot more about how good both teams are by then. The Rebels have a date against top ranked Texas before then which is a spot where they could drop a game, but they face No. 21 Florida on the road this week in a game that Vegas actually favors the Gators in.
2. Alabama Crimson Tide
Georgia has a second huge road matchup this season against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Ole Miss and Alabama are clearly the two hardest games on Georgia's schedule, and just like with the Rebels no Georgia fan needs to be told how difficult this matchup will be.
Alabama still has Georgia's number. Georgia won the last meeting in the 2025 SEC Championship game, but they are 1-2 overall against Kalen DeBoer and 2-7 against the Tide in Kirby Smart's tenure.
So far this season Alabama has two Power Four wins against Kentucky, a team who just beat Texas A&M on the road, and Florida State. Those wins aren't as impressive as what Ole Miss has, but it is far more impressive than the wins Georgia has.
Georgia travels to Alabama in just two weeks on Oct. 10. There is a good chance Alabama will be undefeated as they play South Carolina and Mississippi State before this meeting.
3. Florida Gators
Heading into the season most college football fans would've probably said Oklahoma is Georgia's third most difficult game this year. The Sooners however are 2-1 and have fallen outside of the top 25 while Florida has climbed into the top 25 at No. 21.
The Gators earned their spot in the AP Poll by narrowly defeating Auburn on the road this past weekend. That isn't the greatest win to hang your hat on, but it is better than any win Georgia has so far this season.
Georgia and Florida will do battle in Atlanta on Halloween. Florida has three other ranked games before then against Ole Miss, Missouri and Texas, so it's unlikely that they'll be undefeated by then. Florida however is favored by a couple points over Ole Miss this weekend, so maybe this Florida team will prove they're actually legit with a big win at home this weekend.
