Georgia made a big move earlier this week by earning a commitment from five-star running back Kemon Spell. This commitment came out of nowhere, but the Bulldogs got to witness one of the highest rated commits to ever commit to Georgia.

But what if Georgia’s run with five-stars isn’t over yet? What if another five-star could be thinking about committing to Georgia soon too?

It’s hard to know if the potential of that happening exists or not, but Rivals’ Jed May shared that there is another five-star Georgia is trending with.

Georgia made a big move with another five-star

There really isn’t much that Georgia could do to top Spell’s commitment. He is the No. 1 running back in the country and the No. 7 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class, so it’s very difficult to do better than that. On top of that, Spell is the highest rated running back to ever commit to Georgia and he is also the 11th highest rated commit for Georgia in program history, so this is a commitment that should be celebrated for a long time.

While May didn’t share who the five-star is that may be trending to Georgia, there’s really only one player who it could be. And that player would be an even bigger addition than Spell.

Last weekend saw a few five-stars visit Athens. Spell was in town as was quarterback Jayden Wade who is already committed to Georgia. Offensive tackle Mark Matthews also visited Georgia as well, and he is the No. 2 overall player in the country.

It’s unclear if Matthews will commit anytime soon, and it’s also unclear if he is who May is talking about, but based on who visited last weekend there is a great chance that he is talking about Matthews.

But any five-star will do even if it isn’t Matthews.
