Georgia football will face a lot of significant challeges on Saturday during their matchup with Texas. Not only do the Longhorns have one of the most talented rosters in the SEC, but they are one of the hottest teams in the country as they are currently on a four game win streak.
But one of the biggest disadvantages Georgia will face is the fact that Texas had the week off last week. Not only did this give Texas extra time to prepare for Georgia, but it gave them more time to get healthy as well. And that disadvantage when it comes to being more healthy than Georgia is already coming true based on the first injury report released by the SEC on Wednesday.
Georgia's biggest disadvantage vs Texas is already impacting Saturday's game
Georgia got a lot of good news on the injury report released on Wednesday. Tight end Lawson Luckie was labeled as probable which is a very good sign for the Bulldogs offense. On top of that, Joshua Horton is probable to play as well and Demello Jones was confirmed to be fully healthy again. But Texas's half of the injury report was infinitely better than Georgia's half.
The SEC's injury report shared that Texas has zero players injured right now. So Texas was able to use this past week to their advantage as they got as healthy as possible before their matchup with Georgia on Saturday.
This fact will have a big impact on the game this weekend, but will it result in Texas actually winning the game? Vegas doesn't think so as the Bulldogs are still favored by 5.5 points, but the fact that the Longhorns are 100 percent healthy is a good enough reason for Georgia to be a little concerned entering this weekend's game.
