Georgia may have lost to Auburn this past weekend, but that hasn't slowed them down on the recruiting trail. In fact, Georgia hasn't been this hot on the recruiting trail since the summer months.
Since losing to Auburn the Bulldogs have earned three commitments, but on Monday alone they picked up two massive commits. This includes an elite prospect in the 2028 recruiting class along with the No. 1 JUCO defensive lineman who they flipped from Tennessee.
Georgia flips No. 1 JUCO DL from Tennessee
Christian Mays is the No. 1 ranked defensive lineman from the JUCO ranks as well as the No. 3 overall recruit. He had been committed to Tennessee since June, but after visiting Athens this past weekend he changed his mind and flipped to Georgia instead.

This commitment is significant for reasons beyond the fact that he's an extremely talented player. Mays chose to commit to Georgia just two days after their embarrassing loss to Auburn that he witnessed in person, so that speaks to how great the Bulldogs program is. Elite players are willing to choose to play at UGA even after one of their worst losses in recent history, and that means something.
Tennessee, the school he was just committed to, just beat Alabama the same day Georgia lost to Auburn as well. The Vols are 6-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play and firmly in the race to win the SEC and make the College Football Playoff, but that still wasn't good enough for Mays to stick with them.
Maybe his decision has something to do with the fact that Georgia has beat Tennessee nine times in a row, but regardless he is choosing to be a Bulldog and that is a big deal.
Georgia adds to already impressive 2028 recruiting class
Georgia also made a big move in the 2028 recruiting class on Monday as well as they picked up a commitment from four-star offensive tackle Koehn Dial.

According to 247Sports, Dial is the No. 178 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 18 offensive tackle in the 2028 recruiting class and the No. 9 player from his home state of Tennessee.
Dial is the fourth player to commit to the Bulldogs 2028 recruiting class. He also is the lowest ranked player as well, so that shows how impressive Georgia's class already is.
Georgia's 2028 class is led by five-star quarterback Jayden Wade who is the No. 1 QB in the country and No. 4 overall player. They also hold commitments from safety Nick Carroll who committed to Georgia earlier this month and is the No. 40 player in the country and four-star tight end Asa Wall who is ranked No. 102 in the country.
Georgia currently has the No. 3 ranked 2028 recruiting class in the country. The only trail Ohio State and Alabama who have more commits than them which explains why they are ranked higher.
Winning on the field is the most important thing for Georgia right now, but winning on the recruiting trail is still important. Being able to find this much success even after a bad loss against Auburn shows how great of a spot the Bulldogs program still is.
