The 2027 recruiting cycle is coming to an end in about a month and a half. Georgia will look to add a few more recruits before signing day in December, but their next commit could be from three-star quarterback Bo Bryan which likely no one saw coming.
Bryan is a member of the 2027 recruiting class, and fans who follow recruiting closely know that Georgia already has a quarterback commit in the 2027 class. Colton Nussmeier is that commit for Georgia who is the No. 12 QB in the country. Typically programs only add one quarterback every class, but Georgia is apparently trying to add a second and they were just predicted earlier this week to land Bryan.

Adding Bo Bryan wouldn’t change Georgia’s future QB plans
Georgia’s future is set at quarterback with or without Bryan. Heading into next year Georgia will have a quarterback competition due to Gunner Stockton’s departure, and as it stands today current backup Ryan Puglisi is the most likely person to win that job. Nussmeier and Bryan (if he commits to Georgia) would be backups in Georgia’s QB room, and it would be difficult for them to ever become a starter even after Puglisi’s career is done.
Georgia already holds a commitment from Jayden Wade in the 2028 class as well who is the No. 1 QB in the country. The expectation is that he will be the starter the next time the job opens up which likely would be when Puglisi’s career ends. Nussmeier would challenge him for that job, but considering Bryan isn’t even ranked inside the top 2,000 recruits in the country it’s hard to imagine him ever winning the job.
Maybe he is more than happy to come to Georgia and be a career backup, or maybe he wants to bet on himself and thinks he can win the starting job in the future. Either way he is trending to Georgia and could be their next commit in the 2027 class.
Georgia has an inside track to land Bo Bryan
Bryan seems like he’s trending to Georgia already, but UGA may have an inside track that could increase their chances of landing him even more. Their most recent commit in the 2028 class is four-star offensive lineman Koehn Dial who committed to Georgia on Oct. 19. He and Bryan are high school teammates, so he could help convince him to become a Bulldog as well.
Bryan is also the son of country music star Luke Bryan. That won’t help Georgia in his recruitment at all, but it’s a fun thing for UGA fans to be able to say.
Bryan doesn’t have a public commitment date set, but with the 2027 recruiting cycle ending soon he could commit in the near future. At this point it’d be shocking if he didn’t choose Georgia, but anything is possible in recruiting.
Georgia currently has the No. 9 ranked 2027 recruiting class. Adding Bryan won’t change their ranking, but it will help them have more depth at the quarterback position for years to come.
