Georgia has some massive shoes to fill at wide receiver heading into next season. The Bulldogs have already lost four of their top receivers to the NFL Draft as Zachariah Branch, Dillon Bell, Colbie Young and Noah Thomas have all declared they will be heading to the pros.

This has left Georgia scrambling to find some players in the Transfer Portal to replace them. The apparent No. 1 target for Kirby Smart and his staff are after is Vanderbilt transfer Tre Richardson who took a visit to Athens earlier this week. The hope was that Richardson would commit to Georgia during this visit, but that did not occur.

Richardson in fact plans to visit a few other schools which is about the worst news that Georgia could have received in his recruitment.

Georgia No. 1 WR target is fading from UGA

Richardson will visit Louisville and Texas this week now that his visit to Georgia is wrapped up. The Bulldogs were the first school he visited so that was a great sign that they could end up on top in his recruitment, but that has not happened.

Richardson will now take two more visits which leaves Georgia wondering where they stand with him. There is still a chance they could win his recruitment, but at this point it is hard to know how good of a chance that has at occurring.

The good news for Georgia is that they did earn a commitment from Georgia Tech wide receiver transfer Isiah Canion on Thursday. Georgia however needs more than one receiver out of the portal this offseason, so there is still a lot of work to do.

Richardson will most likely commit to a school right after these next two visits, so hopefully Georgia made a good enough impression on him to come out on top.
