Wide receiver Noah Thomas made the decision to transfer to Georgia this offseason from Texas A&M. While Zachariah Branch stole a lot of the attention from Thomas, he was a top 10 wide receiver in the Transfer Portal and a huge addition to UGA's offense.
Unfortunately his time at Georgia so far this season hasn't worked out because he is yet to make much of an impact on the field. But Thomas recently spoke about his frustrations with this, but also how he is staying ready for whenever his number is called.
"I feel like I just had to put my head down and keep working and when my name was called just be ready to make a play.”

Noah Thomas reflects on his frustrating start to his season
As mentioned, Thomas is yet to make a big impact on the field this season. So far he has recorded just five recpetions, 76 yards and one touchdown, and the expectations were much higher for him when he arrived in Athens.
Thomas spent three seasons at Texas A&M before coming to Athens this offseason, but it was last year when he really burst onto the scene. In 2024 he finished with 39 receptions, 574 yards and eight touchdowns to help lead the Aggies to a 9-3 regular season.
The hope was that Thomas would have a similar impact at Georgia this year, but that unfortunately hasn't happened yet.
Thomas shared in the above quote that he is keeping his head down and staying ready for whenever his number is called, and that time could come sooner rather than later. Georgia's top wide receiver Colbie Young is out with an injury for an extended period of time, and Thomas is someone UGA needs to help fill his void. Thomas did help Georgia out against Florida as he scored a 22 yard touchdown, but that was his only catch of the game.
The Bulldogs are going to need Thomas more than that going forward, especially while Young is still injured, so Thomas needs to remain ready because his number likely will be called a lot the rest of this season.
