Georgia just got down beating their biggest rival Florida for the sixth year in a row. They however have to move past this game because up next they have a night game on the road against a talented Ole Miss team.

Georgia officially opened as a three point favorite over the Rebels, according to the DraftKings Sportsbook. It is nice for Georgia to be favored on the road against a team as good as Ole Miss, but Vegas is sending a clear message to UGA that they need to be ready for a grueling battle.

Vegas predicts a tight game between Georgia and Ole Miss

It doesn't get much closer than a three point spread. This is Vegas saying that either team could win this matchup, and it's hard to argue against that.

Georgia deserves to be the favorite as the higher ranked team with the better record. The Bulldogs only have one loss this season compared to the two losses Ole Miss has, so that is reason enough for them to be the favorite.

Geogia's one loss however was to Auburn who Ole Miss just beat by 30 points on Saturday. Ole Miss however lost to Florida earlier this year by 24 points and Georgia just beat them 27-8 on Saturday, so the common opponents they've played this year don't reveal too much.

Anyone who watches college football knows that both Georgia and Ole Miss are good teams this season. Vegas clearly knows this as well and that is why Georgia is only a three point favorite heading into this game.

The Ole Miss game is the one Georgia has been looking forward to the most

Georgia had a few big games on their schedule this season. Their rivalry matchups against Auburn and Florida are always two of the biggest games each year, and whenever Alabama is on the schedule it's impossible to ignore them too. Georgia's game against Ole Miss could be bigger than all three of those though.

For starters this game has huge implications on the SEC Championship race. Georgia is one of two teams with one loss this season in the SEC, so as long as they keep winning they'll make it to Atlanta. If they lose one game though then they could be on the outside looking in. If Ole Miss loses though then they will be eliminated from being able to make it to the SEC Championship game.

A loss for Ole Miss could also knock them out of the College Football Playoff picture as well.

This game has far more meaning to Georgia than what's at stake this season. Georgia is looking for revenge because the Rebels knocked them out of the playoff last season, so handing them their third loss this year which would essentially knock them out of playoff contention would be a nice way to get some payback.

This spread will likely adjust a little bit throughout the week, but as of now the Bulldogs are a small favorite in one of the biggest games of the season.
