Georgia moved to 4-0 after yet another dominant win to start the season. They took down Oklahoma 41-13 on Saturday which marked their fourth win in a row by at least four touchdowns, and up next they get the Vanderbilt Commodores at home.
This figures to be another easy win for Georgia, but there is a lot at stake as this will be the Bulldogs' first opportunity for revenge this season.
Georgia gets a chance at revenge against Jared Curtis
Georgia plays Ole Miss later this season which is an obvious opportunity for revenge after the Rebels ended their playoff run last season. Even Georgia's game at Alabama is a chance for revenge since the Tide won in Athens last year. Vanderbilt however is another opportunity for revenge because of their starting quarterback Jared Curtis.
Curtis was a long time Georgia commit last year during the 2026 recruiting cycle. He eventually turned his back on Georgia right before signing day and flipped to Vanderbilt which left UGA in the dust without a quarterback to sign in the 2026 class.
Georgia is doing just fine without Curtis, but they would still love to show him how big of a mistake he made by flipping to Vandy.
Curtis will make the third start of his career against Georgia if he gets the nod again for Vanderbilt. His first start came in week three against NC State where he completed 20 of 34 passes for 277 yards and three touchdowns. He did however throw two interceptions in this game and needed a miracle defensive touchdown at the end of the game for Vandy to win.
This past week Curtis started the second game of his career at Auburn where he did not play well. He completed 22 of 33 passes for 199 yards, one interception and zero touchdowns in a 21-15 loss.
Curtis hasn't faced a team like Georgia in his career, so adjusting to playing this good of a team in front of a packed Sanford Stadium crowd could be a recipe for disaster. This however is exactly what Georgia wants because not only will this help them win this game, but it will help them show Curtis why he should've stuck with Georgia.
The Commodores shouldn't be much of a challenge for Georgia
Through four games this season Georgia is yet to be truly challenged. Many fans thought Oklahoma would be that challenge for them, but Georgia still won by 28. Unfortunately for those fans that want to see Georgia play in a competitive game they likely won't be getting that this week.
According to the DraftKings Sportsbook Georgia is a 24.5 point favorite over Vanderbilt. Considering Georgia's won all four of their games this season by at least 28 points this realistically could be even higher, but even at 24.5 points Vegas is still predicting another blowout win for UGA.
Georgia likely will be challenged at Alabama in two weeks, but for now they have another easy game on paper in front of them. They still need to show up and play their best game to ensure they beat Vanderbilt, but this figures to be another easy win that ends in sweet revenge.
