Georgia football fans were obviously very upset when five-star quarterback Jared Curtis announced his decision to flip to Vanderbilt. Curtis is the No. 1 player in the country, so losing someone of that stature will always be a tough pill to swallow.

But Curtis cerntainly is making it a lot easier to get over this loss based on how he has handled his recruitment. Not only is this the second time that he has decommitted from Georgia, but he also left his fellow Georgia commits in the dust by informing them of his final decision in potentially the worst way possible.

Jared Curtis is making it very easy to get over his departure

Tight end Brayden Fogle is one of Georgia's top commits in their 2026 recruiting class, and he was recently being interviewed and was asked about Curtis's decision to ditch Georgia. Fogle shared that Georgia's commits have a group chat that they all use to keep in touch, but instead of sharing his final decision with the group Curtis just randomly left the group chat.

If Curtis had just sent a simple message of what his plans were while wishing everyone luck they probably wouldn't have cared all that much. But leaving the group chat without saying a word might have been the worst way to handle that situation.

Losing Curtis's commitment however is still very difficult to overcome, but seeing this side of him definitely makes it a little easier. And the fact that Gunner Stockton could return next season makes his betrayal that much easier to overcome.

Fogle and the rest of Georgia's recruiting class will get their chance at revenge next season when Curtis and Vanderbilt come to Athens during the regular season. And based on these comments it's very clear that they will want to show Curtis what he is missing out on and why they think he made the wrong choice.
