Vegas oddsmakers are surprisingly low on Georgia football this year. The Bulldogs have the highest projected win total in the SEC, but they are only projected to win 9.5 games this year.
That means Vegas essentially believes that Georgia is just as likely to go 10-2 this year as they are to go 9-3. A 10-2 record would leave some fans somewhat disappointed, but that wouldn’t even compare to how fans would feel if they went 9-3. But Vegas thinks that’s a possibility, so Georgia will have to go and prove them wrong.
Joel Klatt however said that he would be shocked if Georgia went 9-3 this season.
"They're going to have to lose a shocking game to go 9-3."

Joel Klatt disagrees with Vegas oddsmakers’ Georgia win total
Georgia has only won less than 10 games twice under Kirby Smart. The Bulldogs failed to reach 10 wins in Smart’s first season as head coach, and they also failed to during the 2020 shortened Covid season which doesn’t really count.
But Vegas somehow thinks this could be the year that Georgia fails to reach 10 games. Even though Georgia won back-to-back SEC Championships and are one of the schools with the most returning production in the country, they still aren’t sold on UGA this year.
Why could that be? How can they not trust Georgia more after all of these great seasons they’ve had in a row?
Even though Georgia fans don’t think their schedule will be a problem, the Bulldogs treacherous schedule could be the reason why Vegas doesn’t believe as much in Georgia as their fans do.
Where could Georgia’s 2026 season go wrong?
Even if losing more then three games seems unrealistic, there is a possibility it could happen because of their difficult schedule.
There are a few obvious games that Georgia could lose this season. Their road games at Alabama and Ole Miss are the two most likely losses, but there are some other games that could trip them up as well.
Their week four home game against Oklahoma will be the most challenging game in Athens this year, and Vanderbilt could give them a scare too. Even their matchups against Auburn and Florida could cause some problems as well.
Georgia should win all four of those games, but dropping one isn’t out of the question. So even though Georgia fans and Klatt don’t see them losing any of these games, all it could take is one loss to really derail their season.
