Kemon Spell has been committed to Georgia since February, but he might be hiding some information about his recruitment that UGA would love to know.
Spell is a five-star running back who has turned down countless flip attempts since being committed to Georgia, but he might be beginning to show interest in other schools. The latest report about his recruitment indicates that his next visit is to Georgia, but USC, Penn State and Virginia Tech are lurking in the background.

However USC, Penn State and Virginia Tech work to stay alive in the McKeesport (Pa.) High 5-star's recruitment.

A couple days ago the first report came out that shared a mystery team is slowly making progress with Spell. That school still isn’t 100 percent certain, but it seems apparent that it’s one of these three schools. The problem for Georgia is that Spell isn’t telling these schools to get lost like he has in the past, so it’s impossible to know how close he is to them and if they’re a legit threat to Georgia or not.
Kemon Spell may not be as convinced Georgia is the right school for him
Up to this point every time a school has attempted to get close with Spell he has turned them down. Many times he’s even done it publicly which helped cement his love for Georgia even more.
After the first report came out about this mystery school Spell took to social media with a simple “Go Dawgs” message. That made it seem like he was shutting this school down, but then this most recent report came out which says he still might be interested in one of these schools.
The good news for Georgia is that Spell’s next visit is to Athens. They hopefully will be able to use that to their advantage to lock him down, but there’s a chance he could visit another school soon after this upcoming trip to Georgia. Until another visit happens Georgia fans shouldn’t worry too much, but the unknown surrounding the level of his relationship with either USC, Penn State or Virginia Tech is scary.
Kemon Spell's recruitment is giving similar vibes to Jared Curtis last year
Spell is Georgia's highest ranked commit in the 2027 class just like Jared Curtis was for most of last year. Most Georgia fans know how Curtis' recruitment unfolded, but for those that don't it's looking eerily similar to Spell right now.
Last year Curtis, who was a five-star quarterback, was committed to Georgia for a few months just like Spell has been. Then there were rumors floating around in the fall that he was interested in flipping to Vanderbilt, but he initially shot those rumors down. Not long after things began to heat up with Vandy and he took a visit to their campus.
Curtis then flipped to Vanderbilt just a few days before signing day and left Georgia hanging who had no backup plan in place.
Right now Spell's recruitment has gone just like Curtis' did last year. That doesn't mean it will end the same way, but there's a chance this recruitment goes south just like with Curtis last year and Georgia has to deal with a nasty case of déjà vu.
