Another day means another staff departure for Georgia. A few days ago it was Lane Kiffin who took offensive assistant Ty Hatcher, but now Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is getting in on the fun.

On Wednesday reports surfaced that Texas was hiring Garrett Cox to be their next senior defensive analyst after he spent some time on Georgia's coaching staff.

Texas, Steve Sarkisian take top analyst from Georgia's coaching staff

Cox is another up and coming coach that is difficult to see leave Athens. Sure it is pretty easy to replace any analyst on Georgia's staff, but he is someone that has a bright future that Georgia could have used on their sideline.

Unfortunately Georgia won't be able to receive any of the future benefits Cox will bring on the football field, and instead they likely will have to face him at some point.

Sarkisian likely played a big role in bringing Cox to Texas, but Will Muschamp probably was the biggest reason why he is headed to the Longhorns. After serving as an analyst on Georgia's staff the last two years, Muschamp made the move to Texas this offseason to become their next defensive coordinator. So after working side by side with Cox he has decided that he needs him on his staff at Texas.

Georgia won't get their chance at revenge next season because Texas is not on their schedule, but it is only a matter of time until they face the Loghorns, Muschamp and Cox. The good news for Georgia is that they have the Longhorns number as they are a perfect 3-0 against Texas since they joined the SEC. But the bad news is that there is now a few former Bulldogs who now want nothing more than to help Texas change the trajectory of this rivalry.
