In just a few short days, Georgia will play their biggest game of the season. The Bulldogs travel to the No. 1 team in the country, the undefeated Texas Longhorns.

A win would put Georgia in the drivers seat to make the SEC Championship game and College Football Playoffs. A loss would really hurt their chances at accomplishing both. Georgia is also a slight underdog in this game according to Vegas, but as the No. 5 team in the country with all the talent that we know UGA has that really doesn't mean much to me.

Kirby Smart and the Georgia football team addressed the media on Monday and began speaking about Texas and their opcoming showdown. Here are some of the things the team said about Texas, what they already know about the Longhorns, and the importance of this game.

Here are a few quotes from Smart, courtesy of Graham Coffey of DawgCentral.

"They’re (Texas) balanced, and they do a really good job of putting you in conflict. You look at their record, every year they’ve improved… Well, the trenches have improved."

"There (Texas offense) are a lot more similarities to us than a lot of teams we play."

"I want to see them play their best game against Texas. Simply stated, we have not played our best game. We need to put our best game together."

"Moving onto Texas for us… A lot of respect for Sark. I’ve got to know Sark really well over the last couple of years. We take a trip together every year, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know him."

Defensive back Dan Jackson also provided some great context on his outlook for this game.

"It’s a great opportunity… Playing in games like that is one of the reasons I came here (to Georgia) and one of the reasons I came back," Jackson said. "One of my coaches told me once, ‘It’s a big game cause we’re in it,’ and that’s kind of how we’re looking at it too."

Georgia and Texas will kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 pm EST. College GameDay will also be at Texas, so be sure to wake up bright and early to watch as much Bulldogs coverage as you can.
